What is an IES file?

An IES file (Illuminating Engineers Society) contains photometric data used with standard lighting design software.  Each IES file contains iso-illuminance data specific for a single light fixture type.  Download these files for use in technical lighting layouts.  The data contained in IES files is formatted for specialized software access and is therefore unreadable by human users directly.
