Right in the heart of Libertyville, the West Tower, our new patient tower at Advocate Condell Medical Center is set to open in spring 2011.
The facility will feature a Heart and Vascular Center including a congestive heart failure clinic, cardiac rehabilitation, a diabetes clinic, a wound care center and education space. In addition, the Tower will include outpatient physical therapy, along with respiratory therapy and sleep diagnostics labs.
The 175,000 square-foot building will include inpatient rooms paving the way for Condell to offer all-private single rooms to its patients. Supporting Advocate's faith-based tradition, a new 1,200 square-foot chapel will be built on the first floor for patients, families and staff.
The West Tower further establishes Condell as the region's premier medical center. Condell's emergency department is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Lake County, Illinois, treating the area's most seriously injured patients. It also features the only dedicated pediatric emergency department in the county. Recognized for its quick treatment of heart attack patients, Condell holds full accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
