Albeo Technologies Celebrates Early Success with Soireé Honoring Supporters

Boulder, CO—Albeo Technologies, Inc., (www.albeotech.com) a fast-growing Boulder manufacturer of solid-state lighting, is celebrating its early success by throwing a party honoring supporters on March 12. The event will take place at Albeo’s headquarters, 3125 Sterling Circle, Boulder, from 5 to 8 pm.
Albeo recently received a $1.5M equity investment from an investment group led by Green Spark Ventures, LLC, a new Denver-based cleantech venture fund. This completes Albeo Technologies’ first round of venture capital financing, and the new capital is targeted at market and product expansion. “We’re celebrating not only a successful funding round, but the fact that Albeo has already launched four major product lines, and shipped over 20,000 units to date,” said Jeff Bisberg, Albeo Technologies’ president and CEO. “This is just a small ‘thank you’ to all of our supporters and friends, without whom we could not have accomplished so much in just three short years.”
The event will showcase current and future product offerings for the commercial and industrial markets. “The implications in the global market are enormous,” said Tracy Earles, VP Marketing. “Not only will our solid state lighting products save billions of dollars in maintenance and energy costs; they will potentially reduce carbon emissions by 28 to 40 million metric tons annually. We estimate a potential reduction of $125 billion in spending on electricity over the next 20 years with the implementation of solid state lighting.”
Mary Colvin, Technology Manager, Building Technologies, for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), will present on LEED certification as a revolutionary force in the commercial building industry. Her presentation will take place at 6 pm. Those attending the celebration include venture capitalists, builders, lighting designers and government officials. The press is invited.
